Liability
Cover for claims brought against you by third parties, including claims arising from professional advice.
Cover for goods in transit, for the vessels that carry them, and for the liabilities that arise at sea.

In practice
Zambia is landlocked, so most marine cargo here is really a multi-modal risk: goods move by sea to Dar es Salaam, Beira or Durban and then several hundred kilometres by road. Cover needs to follow the whole journey, including the inland leg and any storage in between, which is where single-transit policies most often fall short.
Where you trade regularly, an open cover declared periodically is usually cheaper and less error-prone than insuring each shipment separately.

Cover names are those used in the Zambian market; the exact scope of any policy depends on its wording and endorsements. We will set out what a quotation does and does not include before you bind it.
